FSDSxTweak news – I have finished testing the new disaster recovery mode in FSDSxTweak_Edit; if a crash happens, when you next restart the tool it detects that a crash occurred and recovers as much as it can of the file you were editing. Added some more to the docs. I also got FSX and FSDS running on my PC here, so now I can do the final tests before release (and also prepare a good installer).
The past few days have been very relaxed – mostly hanging around at home, and going out for coffee. The Radeon 1650 arrived (thank you, next day shipping), and we had an awesome game spree. More of that tonight, hopefully.
Friday I had a meeting with Bob, who is the Security Windows Initiative guy assigned to Exchange – basically he talked about what he does, what the job is like, and so on – what they call here a “Meet and Greet”. He is another of those very smart, very relaxed people you see around Redmond – I am looking forwardto work more than ever.
When we got home, I found that my full set of Dr Katz dvds had arrived, and also a feral bunny (well, if the suburbs can be considered feral territory) set up to have dinner outside the back door. Not a bad ending to the week. The weekend will probably involve more doc writing, a trip to downtown Seattle, and a re-watch of Indy 4 with Faybs, who has not seen it yet.
