I have spent a lot of time walking around downtown Seattle, so I decided to make a little KMZ file which shows a nice walk for your inner Nerd. Download the KMZ file, make sure you have Google Earth (free) installed, and then double click on the nerdwalk file. Follow the pins in numerical order!
In real life, it is an all-day walk – starting at about 8:30am, you will finish around 4pm or so (depending on the length of your breaks). It begins just south of the South Lake Union District, goes up to the Kenmore terminal at Lake Union, down to Seattle Center, to Pike public market, then south to Pioneer square, and finally the International district.
Why is it a nerd walk? Well, I highlight all the places along the way to take nice photos, ogle seaplanes, buy comics, manga and roleplaying stuff. Oh and bring some money along, there are a lot of snacking stops along the way.
